1. Introduction and Scope
This Master Privacy Policy explains how YetiCare Oy (“YetiCare,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses personal data. This policy applies to our website, digital communications, research activities, customer service, and the use of Yetitablets and YetiCare Software.

3. Types and Sources of Data
We collect data directly from you and from our business partners:
- Communication & Business Data: Names and contact details provided when you contact us.
- Partner & Delivery Data: We receive name, address, and contact details from our Authorized Resellers and Distributors to facilitate product delivery and logistics.
- Device Technical Data: We collect serial numbers and diagnostic logs to address technical issues. As Yetitablets are used as group devices in facility environments, this data is anonymized and does not identify individual natural persons.
- No Health Data: YetiCare does not collect or process any special categories of data, such as health or medical information.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process data based on the following grounds:
- Contractual Necessity: To fulfill orders and perform our obligations.
- Legal Obligation: To comply with Finnish law, specifically accounting and tax regulations.
- Legitimate Interest: To provide customer support, improve our hardware/software, and prevent fraud.
- Consent: Where you have explicitly opted-in for marketing or third-party account linking.
5. Data Sharing and International Transfers
- Service Providers: We use third-party processors for providing our service, cloud hosting and communication.
- Safeguards: While data is primarily stored in the EEA, we use certain global providers (e.g., MDM supplier). To ensure a high level of protection, these transfers are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
6. Data Security and Retention
- Security: We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures, such as encryption and access controls, to ensure security.
- Retention Periods:
- Accounting Records: Retained for 10 years to comply with Finnish accounting law.
- Marketing Data: Retained for 2 years after the last interaction or until consent is withdrawn.
- Technical Logs: Kept only as long as necessary for support and then anonymized.
7. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- The right to access, update or delete the information we have on you. Whenever made possible, you can access, update or request the deletion of your Personal Data directly within your account settings section. If you are unable to perform these actions yourself, please contact us to assist you.
- The right of rectification. You have the right to have your information rectified if that information is inaccurate or incomplete.
- The right to object. You have the right to object to our processing of your Personal Data.
- The right of restriction. You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal information.
- The right to data portability. You have the right to be provided with a copy of the information we have on you in a structured, machine-readable and commonly used format.
- The right to withdraw consent. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time when YetiCare Oy relied on your consent to process your personal information.
Requests are handled free of charge and we aim to respond within one month.
8. Children’s Privacy
Our products are designed for facility environments. YetiCare Software and Yetitablets do not collect personal information from children or end-users. Our proprietary apps contain no advertising or marketing.
9. Third-Party Services & Software
The Yetitablet operates on third-party software (e.g., the Android Operating System) and may allow the installation of third-party applications not developed by YetiCare. These third-party services are governed by their own respective privacy policies. We are not responsible for the data practices of such third parties. We encourage users and facility administrators to review the privacy statements of any third-party software used on the device to understand how they manage data.
